Location: 203-290 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba

Film screenings around the downtown area and locations of off-site artworks (See info below).

Featuring over twenty contemporary Indigenous artists who have produced artworks, performances, writing, and films in which they each describe a myriad of experiences on being adopted out or placed in care.

The Urban Shaman Gallery has also commissioned new works by Scott Benesiinaabandan, Tasha Hubbard, George Littlechild, and Jesse McMann to be included in a group exhibition at the same time.

With the recognition that dealing with the 60’s Scoop is a move towards healing and reconciliation, and as the first and largest group exhibition that has a focus that spans from the 60’s Scoop in Canada to issues that currently exist of Indigenous children forcibly removed from their homes. The Urban Shaman Gallery is cognizant that here in Winnipeg there is a need to socially engage and involve the community.
