Comedy Records is proud to announce the release of Treaty 1 and Only, a compilation comedy album featuring Indigenous comedians on Friday, April 24, 2020 on all online platforms.

Produced by Winnipeg Comedy Festival, Treaty 1 and Only was recorded live at the 2019 Winnipeg Comedy Festival at the Gas Station Arts Centre. Treaty 1 and Only features five Indigenous stand-up comedians from across Turtle Island including Howie Miller, Chad Anderson, Florence Spence, Paul Rabliauskas, and Tatanka Means. This compilation album highlights the wide range of styles and perspectives from five established Indigenous comedians with their takes on everything from family dynamics to dating to AC/DC.

Howie Miller is a First Nation Descendant of the Cree Nation from Edmonton, Alberta. His quick wit, unique point of view, and stellar impressions always have audiences laughing from start to finish.

Chad Anderson is a stand-up comedian originally from The Pas, Manitoba. Over his decade long career, Chad has toured across Canada, performed in the Winnipeg Comedy Festival, Odd Block Comedy Festival, the Arctic Air Comedy Festival, and was a cast member in Mary Walsh’s Canada, It’s Complicated.

Florence Spence is a stand-up comedian from York Factory Cree Nation. Florence has broken down barriers across Manitoba with her raw and real material. With her witty observations and captivating stage presence, Florence will become your next favourite comedian.

Paul Rabliauskas is a super funny comedian from Poplar River First Nation. He has performed for several years in the Winnipeg Comedy Festival, ODDBLOCK Comedy Block Party, and has been featured on CBC’s The Debaters. Paul’s charming, brash, and boisterous style makes him a fan favourite of so many across Canada.

Tatanka Means is an award-winning actor and stand-up comedian from Chinle, Arizona. Means represents the Navajo, Oglala Lakota and Omaha Nations, and is one of the busiest touring Native American comedians performing today, sharing his hilarious stand-up comedy and motivational messages all over Indian Country.

Comedy Records is Canada’s first record label dedicated to releasing stand up and sketch comedy albums. Established in Toronto in 2010, the label has produced several releases, which have reached the top of the iTunes Comedy and Google Play charts and been featured on Conan and Jimmy Kimmel Live.
