WHO:
The 16th imagineNATIVE Film + Media Arts Festival continues with a Digital Media Showcase at the TIFF Bell Lightbox where Indigenous digital artists and game developers will present their works, including five video games created by Indigenous females aged 13 to 24, and Indigenous Virtual Reality experiences featuring A Tribe Called Red and Tanya Tagaq.
Later in the evening, imagineNATIVE will screen The Dead Lands, the first-ever Maori-language action film, followed by a Q&A with star Lawrence Makoare known for his roles in The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit.
Interview opportunities with Lawrence Makoare, Indigenous digital artists, youth video game developers, and filmmakers are available.
