Young People’s Theatre presents a unique adventure from the land down under! From boundary-breaking Australian artist, Jessica Wilson, comes Child Nation – a delightful and inventive online collection of 15 short digital “journeys”. Each journey or game guides kids to physically and imaginatively explore their everyday surroundings in playful new ways!
Using a phone or tablet, kids will follow a series of prompts that call for simple responses and actions. Their text answers are used to build a customized adventure that feels like being inside their own story – as they make it up! (There is also the occasional role for a willing grown-up!).
Games include: I AM ACTUALLY A DOG, where the player sees the world through an animal’s eyes, THE DARKNESS GAME where fears turn into characters, and THE WHISPERING ROOMS where secret thoughts inside rooms come to life – and 12 others!
Hours of fun and unlimited access for only $10 (recommended for ages 7-11). Available on demand until April 17.
