Taking place completely online, Toronto Fringe 2021 will present over 65 shows in four virtual series including the Fringe On-Demand series, KidsFest On-Demand series, Fringe Primetime series, and POSTSCRIPT Live(stream) events.

Highlights from Fringe On-Demand include “Bannock Republic”, a touching and hilarious comedy by acclaimed Indigenous playwright, Kenneth T. Williams. A newly elected Chief, Isaac Thunderchild, grapples with the death of his wife as he fights to preserve a Residential School as a memorial to its tragic past. However, his plans for the school are threatened with the arrival Destiny Charles, whose mission is to restore order and fiscal responsibility to the newly discovered Reservation’s financial mismanagement. As well as the arrival of Isaac’s cousin, Jacob Thunderchild, a recovering alcoholic, and down-on-his-luck journalist desperate to uncover the next great story.
