Poetry Slam: Hidden Identity
Date: Wednesday, February 24, 2021 EST
Time: 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Come join the University of Toronto Scarborough Student Life with host Indigenous Engagement Coordinator Juanita Muise for a night of Slam poetry. Our featured guest and Canadian renown Métis multidisciplinary artist Moe Clark, a nomadic songbird with wings woven from circle singing and spoken word will be joining us from Quebec, Canada. Our opening act will be local Markham slam artist, singer-songwriter Maya Gabriel who will share lyrics that are sure to heal and make you feel great to be alive. All are welcome!

There will also be a poetry contest and the three winners will receive prizes and get to share their poem or song related to the theme hidden Identity at the event.

Please submit your poems to Juanita at juanita.muise@utoronto.ca by Monday February 22, 2021 12am. Videos are also accepted.
