Lofttan Indigenous female owned company launches Spring BlingBOX

Lofttan Indigenous female owned company launches Spring BlingBOX

Lofttan injects new life into the jewelry industry by creating an exclusive, convertible, one-of-a-kind jewelry collection box to awaken female confidence through creativity this spring.

The Spring BlingBOX brings a beautiful warm golden glow to the fashion scene during the Spring Equinox, a sacred time of renewal, growth and new life. The box allows for endless looks and potential for its owners to play and create as they style themselves.

St. Catharines, ON — Today, Lofttan, an Indigenous, female-owned company based in the heart of the Niagara region and traditional lands of the Haudenosaunee and Anishnaabe people, launches its exclusive – Spring BlingBOX. The box includes pieces of Lofttan’s convertible, multi-wear jewelry line which offers an invitation to play and create using traditional Indigenous (and high-vibe) materials like wood, shell and stone, to beautifully frame the masterpiece that is you.

LOFTTAN IS AN INDIGENOUS, FEMALE-OWNED BRAND THAT CELEBRATES DIVERSITY, ACCESSIBILITY AND THE MEDICINE OF CREATIVITY!

Earlier in 2020, amid the challenges of Covid-19, Lofttan pivoted from a wholesale distributor to a retail brand. The entire business is centred around creative, sustainable and slow fashion. Each piece of convertible jewelry allows you to create anything your heart desires, and features traditional Indigenous materials such as shell, semi-precious stones and sustainably sourced wood.  Through this huge transition, owner and designer, April Mitchell-Boudreau has received an outpouring of support from her fellow handmade small businesses and female Indigenous community. This support has facilitated Lofttan in creating a strong online presence, an online shop and a modernized brand.

“Lofttan is a love project, moreover a soul project I started during my last pregnancy— created for all the women out there who don’t fit into a traditional box. Our jewelry is designed for women who like to make a statement that is uniquely theirs! The Limited Edition Spring BlingBOX will awaken the beautiful, divine Creator in all of us. The box includes five pieces and allows you to style, design and create endless looks” said Lofttan’s owner and designer, April Mitchell-Boudreau. “The box is curated with some exclusive Limited Edition items plus staple pieces from our convertible jewelry collection in order to create a set that is not only beautiful and timeless but a statement! We chose a rich golden hue to represent the return of the sun with the arrival of Spring. The radiant crystals in the box will sparkle like warm sunshine. And, with every purchase we will donate part of the proceeds to a Fund that focuses on providing scholarships in the Arts for Indigenous students . We truly believe in the healing powers of the Arts.”

THE SPRING BLINGBOX IS A SPECIAL CURATION OF LOFTTAN’S SIGNATURE CONVERTIBLE JEWELRY PIECES AND EXCLUSIVE LIMITED EDITION PIECES THAT WILL HAVE YOUR HEART SPARKLING.

The Spring BlingBOX includes one of the staples of the Lofttan convertible collection, a gold Aidan 39” chain, a clippable peach rectangular sparkling crystal pendant, a large circle hardware clasp, a pair of large, light hoop earrings with crystal beads and a coordinating crystal stretch bracelet adorned with a beautiful golden tree of life charm. From these few items the styles are absolutely endless! With a click of a clasp, Lofttan’s exclusive gold Aidan chain morphs from a long necklace to a layered necklace.. Add a pendant, subtract a pendant.  Style as a beautiful belt to finish an outfit and so much more. You will also receive an invitation to a virtual designer showcase with Lofttan’s designer and owner April Mitchell-Boudreau where she will get interactive showing multiple ways to play with the Spring BlingBOX and create looks customized for you! A portion of the proceeds from each box will go to the Lydia Ruth Fund, which provides scholarships in the Arts for Indigenous students– spreading a little sparkle is always the goal at Lofttan!

ABOUT THE LYDIA RUTH FUND

Lydia Ruth Barnes is April’s Great-grandmother and the last family member in a Residential School- the infamous Mohawk Institute, the first  Residential School in Canada. It did real and lasting damage to her, and many generations of our family that came before her. She had a very hard life, and was a caring, lovely soul who died too soon as a result of her deep trauma. The Lydia Ruth Project  was started in her name in 2019 to honour her, and aims to teach the effects of colonialism and Residential Schools on our Indigenous families while also raising funds to seed an  Arts Scholarship for Indigenous students.
