Remember this kid? Zeegwon Shilling (Anishinaabe) is now 15 years old. He has entered an original song called “Get You” which he wrote and recorded for CBC Music’s Toyota Searchlight 2021 competition. Chii miigwetch (Big thanks) for all the support voting in the competition. Miigwetch to the many people who voted more than once. There are over 2500 entries. Even if he does not get in it’s pretty cool to just go for it!
“I’m super excited about the day I connect with Turtle Island’s amazing music industry,” stated Shilling from his home in Wasauksing First Nation.
