New Indigenous Culture Fund

Toronto, February 13, 2017 – Ontario is creating a new fund, the Indigenous Culture Fund (ICF), to support Indigenous cultural expression and ways of life.

The fund will be administered by the Ontario Arts Council (OAC) on behalf of theMinistry of Tourism, Culture and Sport (MTCS). 

MTCS, in partnership with OAC, is hosting engagement meetings to provide an opportunity for Indigenous partners across Ontario to learn more about ICF and provide feedback on the proposed program design.

You are invited to attend the meeting closest to your location.

Is there funding to cover travel expenses?

Yes, funding is available to cover travel and accommodation costs (e.g. mileage, parking, flights, hotel and meals). Travel and accommodation expenses will be reimbursed in accordance with Ontario’s Travel, Meal and Hospitality Expenses Directive.

Participants must book their own travel and accommodation and must retain original receipts in order to be reimbursed.

Travel and accommodation costs must be preapproved to be eligible for reimbursement.
