RBC feature their partnership with NSI in A Chosen Journey – RBC Aboriginal Partnership Report 2017.

Chris Vajcner, NSI’s director of communications and revenue development, spoke with RBC about NSI’s history of training Indigenous content creators.

Agnes Olendrzynska, commercial account manager at RBC, talks about Sonya Ballantyne (CBC New Indigenous VoicesNSI IndigiDocswinning the RBC Emerging Filmmaker Competition at Gimli Film Festival in 2014 and premiering her RBC-supported short, Crash Site, at the fest the following year.

RBC sponsors the Winnipeg Arts Council On The Rise Award, given annually to an emerging, professional Winnipeg artist in any discipline. Leonard Sumner, a CBC New Indigenous Voices grad, was the award recipient in 2014 (pictured).

And NSI IndigiDocs grad Roxann Whitebean and current student April Johnson had great things to say about their training. Roxann noted that “the staff at NSI provided a welcoming environment that is culturally sensitive to our needs as Aboriginal peoples.”
