The 17th Annual  imagineNATIVE Film + Media Arts Festival

imagineNATIVE Film + Media Arts Festival, the world’s largest Indigenous festival, returns for its 17th edition October 19-23, 2016 to showcase innovation in film, video, audio and digital media. imagineNATIVE presents the most compelling and distinctive works from Canada and around the globe, reflecting the diversity of the world’s Indigenous nations and illustrating the vitality and excellence of Native art and culture in contemporary media. Full programming will be announced in the coming weeks.

The imagineNATIVE Board of Directors recently announced the appointment of Ariel Smith as the organization’s new Executive Director. Smith will be responsible for overseeing imagineNATIVE’s operations, HR, finance and execution of Festival and year-round activities. She takes over the role this month as current Executive Director, Jason Ryle moves into the role of Artistic Director to oversee imagineNATIVE’s year-round programming and artistic initiatives.
