ASINABKA FILM & MEDIA ARTS FESTIVAL 2015
Celebrating Indigenous Arts in Algonquin Territory
August 19-23, 2015
Ottawa, ON, Canada

The Asinabka Film & Media Arts Festival is excited to return for our 4th annual festival and to announce our 2015 programming, screening the best in Indigenous film from Canada and around the world. This years festival takes place over 5 days, and includes our traditional outdoor film screenings on beautiful Victoria Island on our opening night, an evening of film at the Mayfair Theatre, an art exhibition opening at Gallery 101, as well as a live music night, and 3 days of film at Club SAW.

  • The Embargo Project Film Screening with talented filmmakers: Caroline Monnet, Zoe Hopkins, Elle-Máijá Tailfeathers, Lisa Jackson, Alethea Arnaquq-Baril
  • Nimkii: Experimental Indigenous Music Night featuring: Rise Ashen // Madeskimo // Yuma Hester
  • Mikwenim: Art Exhibition Opening, at Gallery 101, with stunning work by artists Jo SiMalaya Alcampo & Melissa General
  • Nights Like These – A Midnight Film Screening at Club SAW
