The Aboriginal Curatorial Collective is pleased to be holding its 2015 Annual General Meeting at the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO) in Toronto on Sunday, September 20th.

In the spirit of celebrating 10 years of Indigenous creativity, the ACC in collaboration with the AGO and Lisa Myers, an ACC member and AGO Artist-in-Residence, will host a special event to honour our founders and all the members who have contributed in making this organization successful.

The Board members and staff would like to extend our invitation to attend this all-day free event from 10:45 AM – 5:00 PM in the AGO Gallery School located at 317 Dundas Street West. A special feast for the occasion will be served!

Schedule:

11:00 AM – 12:30 PM – Talking circle led by Aboriginal Curatorial Collective
12:30 PM – 1:00 PM – Honouring ACC founders
1:00 PM – 2:00 PM – Participatory performance and feast with Lisa Myers (menu by Lisa Myers and AGO Chef)
2:00 PM – 3:00 PM – Visit to Picturing The Americas and Canadian Galleries
3:00 PM – 5:00 PM – Aboriginal Curatorial Collective Annual General Meeting (AGM)

Following our Strategic Planning session that was held at Saw Gallery in Ottawa last April, significant modifications to the by-laws have been made. Please review them carefully. Some of the proposed changes include: a modification to the name of the organization, changes to membership, new honour statements, a renewed mandate, and indigenized terms of reference. Please find enclosed the updated bylaws and the agenda for the AGM.

We are looking forward to seeing you! For more information, you can communicate with Mylène Guay, Executive Director at 416-559-2178.
