Pink Sparkle | Daisy Ruiz
Daisy Ruiz is a freelance illustrator from the Bronx, New York. Recently graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology with a BFA, Daisy’s work mainly consists of indigenous Mexican culture. It’s because of this that she is in La Raza Anthology: Unidos y Fuertes is a collection of works celebrating and analyzing experiences within cultures from Latin America (created by Kat Fajardo). Her contribution to the book consists of a portrait in oils of Lili Lucero who dances in Native regalia and a mixed media painting of the Mexica death Goddess Mictecacihuatl.
