Northern Ontario rock band Relic Kings present the release of their new EP titled Armoury. The Armoury release party will be held at Toronto’s Cherry Cola’s Rock n’ Roll Cabaret & Lounge at 200 Bathurst Street on Thursday October 20th, 2016. The EP is a guitar driven rock project that was produced by Mike Fraser (AC/DC, Aerosmith, Metallica) and recorded at Armoury Studios in Vancouver, BC. Officially released in June 2016, lead single “Take Me Higher” energetically introduces the Relic Kings sound. Coinciding with the release party are two follow up performances: Friday, October 21st in Barrie, ON at the Foxx Lounge Rock Bar and Saturday, October 22nd in London, ON at The Richmond Tavern.

About Relic Kings
Relic Kings are a four member rock band based out of Moose Factory, Ontario. Band members are Michael Archibald (Guitar), Rob Faries (Vocals), Jimmy McLeish (Drums), and James Gunner (Bass).
Relic Kings originated from a 2013 recording project under the name Black Stone. Black Stone recorded their eponymous ten track album at Jukasa Studios in Ohsweken, Ontario during the spring of 2013. Released in June of 2013 it was Produced and Engineered by Darren Magierowski. The album produced the hit tracks “Push Me” and “It’s Alright”, with both tracks receiving considerable airplay throughout Canada.
In November of 2015 the group convened for three weeks in Vancouver, BC to record an EP with Producer Mike Fraser (AC/DC, Aerosmith, Metallica, Franz Ferdinand) at Armoury Studios. The six-song Armoury EP was released in June of 2016. Prior to the release of the Armoury EP the band made the difficult decision to change their name to Relic Kings. This decision was made to distinguish the band from the numerous groups, businesses, organizations, and shows with the name Black Stone.
Relic Kings have performed Yonge-Dundas Square, The Phoenix Concert Theatre, The Horseshoe Tavern, Lee’s Palace, and The Rivoli. Performance highlights include opening for The Sam Roberts Band and Honeymoon Suite as well as performing Yonge-Dundas Square for three consecutive years in celebration of Aboriginal History Month.
