Described as the “Native American Tupac” by The Seattle Times, Komplex Kai has been working on his craft for over a decade now. His 2016 album Do Right, as well as his Freestyle Friday series on Youtube has earned him over 45k daily followers – a number that keeps growing with renewed focus on Native American rights and DAPL. Recently, one of these freestyles “Rise Up” was viewed over 380k times and shared over 8,700 times on Facebook alone. The new single “Still” is a testament to Komplex Kai’s roots. He seamlessly blends West Coast and East Coast traditions, as he walks the borderlands of Native and Western culture.
