The MIXED Art Conference is taking place on Saturday, June 3rd, 2017 at the YMCA in downtown Toronto.
MIXED takes an arts-informed approach to centre racialized and Indigenous mixed-race people’s experiences. We also centre intersectional identity, such as LGBTQA2S+, (dis)ability, class, etc. The event has panel discussions, breakout groups, a self care workshop, in addition to showcasing film, poetry, visual arts, performance and live painting. The theme of this year’s conference is “Activism: Within and Without The Family”.
