This Thanksgiving, give thanks to the people and places you love by voting for a Canada we can believe in. Advance polling occurs over this long weekend. You can take time to talk about the election with your friends and family (no throwing brussels sprouts across the table!) and then walk together to the advance polls and VOTE!
There are four advance voting days. Polls are open from noon to 8:00 p.m.
- Friday, October 9
- Saturday, October 10
- Sunday, October 11
- Monday, October 12
Your voter information card tells you the address of your advance polling place. Don’t worry if you don’t have your voter information card; you can find out where to vote by entering your postal code here and clicking on “Where do I vote?” on the right side of the page.
No matter what, you’ll need to bring two pieces of ID to the polls, including one with your current address on it. Double check ID requirements on the Elections Canada website before you head out to be sure.
Voting is contagious, so once you’ve cast your ballot make sure you ask for an “I voted” sticker, snap a selfie and encourage your friends to do the same. Spreading the message about voting is important, and what better time than Thanksgiving to do it?
Happy Thanksgiving from the David Suzuki Foundation.
Sincerely,

P.S. Tell the party leaders you are voting for bold action on climate change.
