Indigenous Languages of Manitoba (ILMB) is proud to present the 7th Annual Honouring Our Languages Conference on October 6 & 7, 2021.
The theme of this year’s conference is Navigating Contemporary Issues to Restore, Support and Strengthen Indigenous Languages. Over the course of two days, participants will collaborate while simultaneously combining the language, important challenges and that First Nation, Inuit and Métis people continue to face within and between nations.
We invite community members, youth, Elders, and all who are committed to Indigenous inclusion, prosperity, and healing to voice their concerns, tell their stories, and work together to find solutions on the following topics of conversation:
- Land Based Knowledge
- Truth & Reconciliation
- Missing & Murdered Indigenous Women & Girls
- Climate Change
- Mental Health Awareness
- Social Justice & Inclusiveness
We envision many opportunities for sharing and learning from one another at the 2021 conference and hope to have a variety 45-minute workshops.
Thank you for your interest in our 2021 Conference, and we look forward to strengthening and supporting our languages with you.
