Tanya Tagaq to Headline Closing Night of the Tkaronto Music Festival at TD Music Hall

Tkaronto Music Festival is proud to announce additional programming for the 2024 festival including the TKMF Vendor Marketplace and a headlining set from internationally celebrated artist Tanya Tagaq. Tkaronto Music Festival celebrates Indigenous musical excellence with three nights of live music November 7-9, 2024 at the TD Music Hall featuring artists from across Turtle Island.

From Ikaluktutiak (Cambridge Bay, Nunavut), Tanya Tagaq is an improvisational singer,

avant-garde composer and bestselling author. A member of the Order of Canada, Polaris Music Prize and JUNO Award winner and recipient of multiple honorary doctorates, Tagaq is an original disruptor, a world-changing figure at the forefront of seismic social, political and environmental change. She will close out Tkaronto Music Festival on November 9 on a bill which also features Evan Redsky and Kristi Lane Sinclair.

Tkaronto Music Festival will also include the TKMF Vendor Marketplace, featuring Indigenous arts, crafts, clothing and more on November 8 and 9 at 401 Richmond Street.

Tkaronto Music Festival is Turtle Island’s premiere music festival putting the spotlight on Indigenous talent.Previously announced programming includes The Halluci Nation, Blue Moon Marquee, Evan Redsky, Kaeley Jade, Kristi Lane Sinclair, MR SAUGA, Sebastian Gaskin, andSTUN.

TKMF Productions is a small group of seasoned, primarily Indigenous creatives, event professionals, and marketers. With more than 40 years of experience curating and hosting talent, they have come together to create a platform for Indigenous cultural discovery. TKMF continues to be a catalyst for Indigenous artists, many of whom have garnered recognition from Canada’s most prestigious Music Awards including The Polaris Music Prize, The JUNO Awards, Breakout West Music Awards, and many more.
