The University of Toronto is hosting the Semi-annual Indigenous Mentoring Day (IMD) on September 25, 2019. This program is designed to match aspiring and motivated Indigenous people, with employee mentors across the University to provide a unique opportunity in experiencing the workplace and gaining first-hand insight from willing mentors. We have mentors from across campus, including the Registrar’s Office, the Faculty of Engineering, Human Resources and many other departments who are excited to participate in this initiative.
We are in the process of putting together a list of mentees who will in turn be matched with a mentor who currently works at U of T for the day. This will give you an opportunity to spend the day with your mentor, learn more about their work and explore employment opportunities at the University. Our goal for this event is to facilitate an experiential learning opportunity for the Indigenous communities, and to provide a beneficial mentoring experience for them. It is critical to the success of the experience that matches be mutually beneficial. If an appropriate match is not possible, the mentee applicant will be notified in advance.
If you are interested in applying to be a mentee, please register by September 20, 2019. Any questions or require more information, please contact Yarlesha Anantharajah, Talent Management Specialist at yarlesha.anantharajah@
