2023 Northern Reads Campaign & Authors Series

True North Aid’s literacy event of the year is back with a new look and new, inclusive name: Northern Reads will launch February 1st, 2023!

This event encourages Canadians to participate in our charitable objectives of advancing Indigenous literacy across the country.

True North Aid is honoured to partner with GoodMinds.com this year, a First Nations family-owned business located on the Six Nations of the Grand River Territory in Brantford, Ontario.

Northern Reads Authors Series

In addition to supporting literacy programs in remote, northern communities, we’re celebrating Indigenous writing across Canada in our first annual Authors Series!

On Tuesday evenings at 7pm throughout February, join us for a ‘meet & greet’ with uniquely talented and creative Indigenous Canadian authors.

Bring your favourite warm cuppa to our virtual gathering and enjoy one hour of author readings, inspiration, stories and a time of Q&A.

This is a free event. Registration is required. We are excited to engage Canadians in meaningful, reconciliatory conversation.
