ETHNO-CULTURAL MANDATE OR ETHNO CULTURAL STATEMENT:
Native Earth is seeking submissions from Indigenous* performing artists living in Canada. We encourage recent graduates, new actors as well as artists we have hired in the past to submit.

NATIVE EARTH THEATRE MANDATE:
Native Earth Performing Arts is Canada’s oldest professional Indigenous theatre company. Currently in our 33rd year, we are dedicated to creating, developing and producing professional artistic expressions of the Indigenous experience in Canada.

THEATRE AUDITIONS
COBA, 585 Dundas Street East, Unit 130.

EQUITY:
Tuesday, August 25th 4pm to 8pm
Wednesday, August 26th 10am to 7:30pm
Thursday, August 27th 12pm to 2pm (by Skype, for out-of-town artists only)

NON-EQUITY:
Wednesday, August 26th 10am to 7:30pm
Thursday, August 27th 12pm to 2pm
(by Skype, for out-of-town artists only)

REQUIREMENTS:
Equity members will be seen first at all open audition calls. Equity members cast in this production will be engaged under an Equity contract. CAEA members: please bring your membership card to the audition.

Equity and Non-Equity members:
Please prepare 2 contrasting monologues, no more than 2 minutes each. Please note you may be asked to do a cold read.

COMMENTS:
Applicants selected for an audition will be contacted to confirm an appointment.

WE WILL NOT CONTACT ANYONE WHO HAS NOT BEEN SELECTED FOR AN APPOINTMENT.

SUBMISSSION INSTRUCTIONS:
Please submit your CV and recent Headshot.
Please indicate your preferred audition time-slot.
We are only accepting audition requests for the dates indicated.
We are only accepting audition requests from artists who are legally able to work in Canada.
All submissions must indicate if the artist is Equity or Non-Equity.
All submissions must indicate if the artist is First Nations, Inuit, Métis or of another Indigenous identity.

SUBMISSION DEADLINE:
Please send submissions NO LATER THAN
THURSDAY, AUGUST 20, 2015 AT 6:00PM
EASTERN STANDARD TIME.

*NEPA defines “Indigenous” as self-identified (status or non-status) First Nations, Inuit and Métis from Turtle Island (North America) as well as Indigenous peoples from other regions including but not limited to Latin America, Australia, New Zealand and Greenland.
